About the role
We're looking for a high-IQ problem solver to lead AI software development at TwinklingTree. You'll identify, build, and integrate AI-powered tools that solve real business problems — fast.
What You'll Do: • Identify software needs across the business and architect AI-powered solutions • Build and ship AI tools using Claude Code and modern development frameworks • Integrate AI capabilities into existing systems and workflows • Lead and coordinate with developers to execute on larger projects • Move fast — we value speed and efficiency over perfection • Own problems end-to-end: from identifying the need to deploying the solution
What You Bring: • Proven experience building AI/LLM-powered software (Claude, GPT, etc.) • Hands-on experience with Claude Code or similar AI coding tools • Strong full-stack fundamentals (you understand both backend and frontend) • Previous role as a software engineer, developer, or technical lead • High problem-solving ability — you figure things out • Bias for action — you ship, iterate, and improve • Excellent communication — you can explain complex technical concepts simply
Nice to Have: • Experience in e-commerce or fast-paced startup environments • Familiarity with automation tools (Zapier, Make, n8n) • Experience with Next.js, TypeScript, PostgreSQL
Compensation: • $100,000+ base salary (negotiable based on experience) • Remote-first position • High-impact role with direct founder access

What we're looking for
- 4+ years of experience shipping products in a fast-moving environment.
- A written portfolio - examples of decisions you made and outcomes they drove.
- Comfort with async written communication and self-directed work.
- Drive to operate at a very high standard without being asked.
Nice to have
- Prior experience at a small ecommerce or consumer-product team.
- Experience building in public or running a side project.
- Comfort using AI tools (Cursor, Claude, Linear AI, etc.) as daily drivers.
