Senior Short-Form Video Editor

remotefull-time₱85K – ₱170K PHP / month

About the role

Compensation: USD $1,500 to $3,000 per month based on portfolio and experience (approx P85,000 to P170,000 PHP per month).

The role in one line: Edit daily Instagram Reels and YouTube Shorts for an 8-figure ecommerce founder building a personal brand for ecom operators and founders.

About this opportunity

I'm an Australian founder based in Dubai. I run a portfolio of DTC brands (multi 8-figure flagship plus several others in supplements, AI software, and home tech) and I'm building a personal brand on Instagram aimed at 7 to 9-figure ecommerce founders.

I post daily. The content is a mix of talking-head insights, behind-the-scenes from the business, lifestyle b-roll, and breakdowns of what's actually working in our brands. Think Alex Hormozi's pacing meets Sahil Bloom's polish.

I'm hiring one senior editor to own the daily output. You'll work directly with me, no middle layer.

What you'll do:

  • Edit 1 to 2 short-form videos per day (Reels and Shorts, 30 to 90 seconds)
  • Pull the strongest hooks from raw footage I send via Google Drive
  • Add dynamic captions, b-roll, sound design, subtle motion, and zooms
  • Pitch concepts and hook ideas, not just execute briefs
  • Research trends and competitor content (Hormozi, Bloom, Sanchez, Bartlett, Priestley, ecom founders) and bring formats worth testing
  • Build and maintain templates so quality stays consistent as volume scales
  • Use AI tools as part of the workflow (Submagic, Captions, ElevenLabs, Descript, Opus Clip, etc.)

Who you are:

  • 3+ years editing short-form vertical content, ideally for founders, creators, or coaches
  • Portfolio with at least 5 reels you've edited end-to-end (please link, no portfolio means no review)
  • Premiere Pro or CapCut Pro fluent. After Effects a plus
  • Strong sense of pacing, hook structure, and what holds attention in the first 3 seconds
  • Good written and spoken English (this is a daily-collaboration role, not file delivery)
  • Comfortable with feedback loops and fast iteration
  • Genuinely interested in business, ecommerce, or founder content. You'll edit 200+ videos a year on this topic, you should care about it

Bonus points:

  • Experience with Klaviyo, Shopify, BigCommerce, or DTC brand context
  • Motion design or animation skills
  • Have edited for a creator with 100k+ followers

Logistics:

  • Full-time, remote, 40 hours per week
  • Some overlap with Dubai hours (UTC+4) preferred, full overlap not required
  • Reporting directly to me, working alongside our existing creative team
  • Long-term role with growth path into Lead Editor or Head of Content as we scale

How to apply: Fill out the form at hustlecommerce.com/senior-video-editor and include a link to your portfolio (at least 5 reels you've edited end-to-end). No portfolio means no review.

What you'll own

  • Own meaningful surface area of the business - you are measured on outcomes, not tasks.
  • Ship weekly. Collaborate async. Over-communicate context.
  • Partner closely with leadership across product, growth, and operations.
  • Raise the bar on craft, velocity, and taste for everyone around you.

What we're looking for

  • 4+ years of experience shipping products in a fast-moving environment.
  • A written portfolio - examples of decisions you made and outcomes they drove.
  • Comfort with async written communication and self-directed work.
  • Drive to operate at a very high standard without being asked.

Nice to have

  • Prior experience at a small ecommerce or consumer-product team.
  • Experience building in public or running a side project.
  • Comfort using AI tools (Cursor, Claude, Linear AI, etc.) as daily drivers.

How we hire

  1. A short written application - we read every one.
  2. An intro call with a member of the hiring team.
  3. A short trial task reflecting the actual work.
  4. A final conversation with leadership. Offer within 48 hours.
