Compensation: HK$55,000 to HK$80,000 per month base, calibrated on experience. Performance bonus of 10 to 20% of base, tied to product margin improvement, on-time delivery, quality KPIs, and category performance. Travel and entertainment expenses fully covered.

We're Hustl Ecommerce, a Hong Kong-headquartered group running a portfolio of direct-to-consumer brands sold globally. Our flagship brand processes 460,000+ orders annually in the decorative lighting category, shipping from China to customers across the US, UK, Europe, and Australia. We're also building newer brands in home tech, supplements, and AI software.
We move fast. Our edge is rapid product iteration, strong creative, and deep supplier relationships across mainland China. We're hiring a senior Sourcing & Product Development Manager to be the bridge between our brand strategy and our manufacturing partners, and to lead our growing PD function.
What you'll do:
- Own the product development pipeline from concept through to production, across multiple brands and categories
- Lead supplier strategy: who we work with, on what terms, and how we deepen the strongest relationships
- Negotiate pricing, MOQs, tooling, and payment terms with suppliers across Guangdong, Zhejiang, and Fujian
- Travel to factories regularly for high-stakes meetings, new product reviews, and supplier audits
- Identify product improvement opportunities from customer feedback, returns data, competitor teardowns, and emerging trends
- Scout new product categories and bring back validated concepts to the founders
- Build and own supplier scorecards. Maintain the relationship health across our top 20+ vendors
- Manage the Product Development Executive. Set their priorities, review their work, and develop them into the next senior PD person
- Coordinate with our Australian, Dubai, and creative teams on packaging, compliance, certifications (FCC, CE, RoHS), and brand standards
- Represent us at trade shows: Canton Fair, HKTDC, CES Asia, IFA when relevant
- Report directly to the founders on category performance, margin, and pipeline health
Who you are:
- 5 to 8+ years experience in product development, sourcing, or merchandising. Mix of brand-side and supplier-side experience preferred
- Native Mandarin (written and spoken). Fluent business English. Cantonese a strong plus
- Strong commercial instinct. You understand unit economics, landed cost, BOM optimisation, and why margin matters
- Proven track record negotiating directly with Chinese factory owners and senior commercial staff
- Comfortable making high-stakes decisions independently. You'll often be the senior person in the room
- Have managed or mentored at least one direct report previously. Or strong evidence you can step up to do so
- Low-ego, high-output. You build trust with suppliers and internal teams alike
- Based in Hong Kong with a valid right to work, or prepared to relocate before start date
Bonus points:
- Experience in lighting, consumer electronics, smart home, or supplements
- Existing supplier network across Shenzhen, Dongguan, Yiwu, or Ningbo
- Engineering, industrial design, or materials background
- Prior work at a fast-growth DTC brand (not just traditional retail or trading houses)
- Experience setting up new product categories from zero

- 4+ years of experience shipping products in a fast-moving environment.
- A written portfolio - examples of decisions you made and outcomes they drove.

Nice to have
- Prior experience at a small ecommerce or consumer-product team.
- Experience building in public or running a side project.
- Comfort using AI tools (Cursor, Claude, Linear AI, etc.) as daily drivers.
